Replace the battery at the start of a new season. It will last for years but this way you will ensure it´s always full of juice.
 
The remote is tough, weather resistant and dust proof. It comes with two different brackets and will fit most bikes. The quick lock means you can have two bikes with brackets and move the remote easily between them.
