FAQ Remotek One

1. How long does the battery last and is it easy to replace?

The claim from our experts are approx 3,5 years of heavy use. But since the controller model is only two years old, we still don´t know. But we can definitely say at least two years. Just replace it before your motorcycle season starts, to be sure you always have enough juice.

The battery is a regular CR2450 coin battery that you can buy in most convenient stores. Unscrew the two torx screws and replace it. Be careful so the button inserts don´t fall out in the process.

2. What is a "profile" and how do you switch between them?

A profile is a button setup. In the Map profile the controller sends arrow and plus/minus key presses, and in addition a few special key presses like m and l by double clicks. Check the manual for more detail.

The other profile is the media profile. Then the controller sends media key strokes(volum, skip, play pause plus screen brightness).

Two switch between the two profiles click-hold arrow up. Click and release, the press the same button in again and hold it for a second or two until the led flashes once for Map profile, or if you repeat the click sequence, two times for the media profile.

If the led flashes red, the controller is locked in the current profile. To unlock, press arrow up and down at the same time until the led lights up green for a second. Doing it once more will lock it again.

Practice the click-hold function until you get it. Sometimes people struggle a little with this, but once you get it it becomes very natural.

3. What is the mounting options?

Every controller is shipped with two different brackets and two spacers, screws and nuts, and two rubber strips with glue to attached to the handlebar under the bracket to avoid sliding.

One bracket is meant for straight mounting on the handlebar. You need approx 30mm of space for it.

THe other which is angled, is meant to mount inside the mirror mound, and rest over the mount to get the controller as close to your thumb as possible. Two spacers can be used if you need to lift the bracket higher over the mirror mount.

The controller slides onto the two brackets, and is secured with a torx screww.
